SUMMARY:Nyungne retreat
DESCRIPTION:The Nyungne (fasting meditation) is part of the Krija Yoga Tantras. It is a practice on Loving Eyes\, in the form with hundred arms and eleven heads. This is very efficient meditation\, which purifies useless or blocking impressions\, while\, at the same time\, builds up positive impressions in our mind. It takes two and a half days\, what makes it is a very short retreat practice. There are special outer rules: The meditation sessions are 10 hours per day. The first day we do not smoke\, drink alcohol and eat only vegetarian food\, while during the second day we neither talk\, nor drink or eat. This practice is called “resting in fastening” and can be very beneficial for healing ailments as well as developing compassion. \n\nRenate Scholz has been a student of Lama Ole Nydahl since 1980. She started giving lectures in 1993. She got the transmission on the Thousand Armed Loving Eyes from Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche in 1981 in Kathmandu\, while travelling on a pilgrimage journey together with Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl. DESCRIPTION:This weekend will be all about the Karma Kagjy Lineage transmission with a special focus on Rechungpa\, who was an accomplisher. Especially for our free lay- and yogi style his transmission is interesting. Of course\, we will also meditate a lot. \nRosi Fischer took refuge in 1985. Since 1991\, she has taught Diamondway Buddhism in Germany and abroad (USA\, Russia\, Australia\, among others). She has been involved in a number of German cities\, and in writing and translating texts about Buddhism. She is a professor of English linguistics at Regensburg University\, is married and has a daughter. DESCRIPTION:Following the vision meeting in June 2016\, we will now take action on the development of Lolland Center. Lama Ole has announced that the Karma Kagyu School does not buy Korterupvej 22. Thus it is clear – we will work to improve and develop the fantastic property we already have. Lama Ole’s wish is that the collected money goes to the plans around 21. In April 2016 we finally managed to buy the land in front of the center\, where we camp during the summer course. This gives us new opportunities to realize our visions. We would like to have all the good support and help for this project and therefore invite you to a “from vision to action weekend” on December 2. The purpose of the weekend is to recollect common ground\, together reach a final vision and first of all to launch concrete work. SUMMARY:Ngondro weekend with Peter Speier
DESCRIPTION:Foundational practices – weekend \n  \n\nThere will be lots of meditation and explanations on the important four foundational practices together with Peter Speier\, who recently has edited Lama Oles latest book about the ngondro.\nPeter took refuge in 1988\, is co-founder of the german Buddhist magazine “Kagyu life”\, the present “Buddhism Today” and edited books by Lama Ole Nydahl. He has the experience of 15 years of center work in the Buddhist centers of Berlin and organizing lectures or other projects.\n\n\nFoundational Practices\n\nThe Foundational Practices\, or Extraordinary Preliminary Practices (Ngöndro in Tibetan) consist of four meditations done one after another. Each of them are repeated 111\,111 times. They prepare one’s mind for more advanced meditation. \nTaking Refuge and Developing the Enlightened attitude\nThis is a well known physical practice from Tibet. One prostrates while visualizing all the aspects of the Refuge and repeating a refuge formula. This practice mainly cleans hindrances of the body so that it becomes a useful tool on the way to enlightenment. The openness and devotion which will appear are used for the next meditation\, on Diamond Mind. \nDiamond Mind\nIn this meditation one cleans difficult subconscious impressions (the causes of disturbing feelings) before they can manifest as difficult results in one’s daily life. One uses the mantra of the Buddha Diamond Mind\, who has the ability to dissolve all impressions of whatever we have said or done in this or former lives. \nMandala Offerings\nAfter having cleaned body\, speech and mind\, one gets the space to receive new impressions. That’s why this practice can enrich our now open mind with everything good imaginable. One focuses on everything beautiful\, precious\, good and pure which one offers to the refuge. The surplus and joy that appear from this practice are used to benefit others. \nGuru Yoga\nThe Guru Yoga meditation follows the same principle as the 16th Karmapa meditation. It is a more elaborate practice\, where one repeats certain wishes to the whole transmission lineage\, and increases one’s devotion and openness to the source for development. DESCRIPTION:  \nA weekend with Tommy Bogs about how to really make the buddhist teachings part of us and our life. It is easy to fall in love with a fascinating idea and to cultivate this on a logic level. Diamond Way can be much more than this…  \nTommy Bogs was born in 1950 in Copenhagen\, Denmark. During the 70’s and 80’s he was actively involved in the Danish rock scene as a sound engineer for one of Denmark’s most popular rock bands. After getting in contact with Buddhism he took refuge with Shamar Rinpoche in 1981. In 1986 he met Lama Ole Nydahl and moved to the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Copenhagen\, which he helped to run for the next eight years. He took part in several Lama Ole Nydahl’s tours around the world and in 1995\, at Lama Ole’s request\, he started traveling and teaching. Tommy has given lectures in the US\, Canada\, Europe\, Russia\, Australia\, New Zealand and Japan. He has 3 children\, 3 grandchildren and is today living very close to the Buddhist Center i Copenhagen together with his wife\, Linda. \nWe are happy to also welcome very rare Sangha-guests from the Balkans this weekend.
